Through Free, Prior and Informed Consent consultations under CliPAD, communities discuss and agree on how their forests and land should be managed. Women speak up, vote and help shape these decisions.
With guidance from local authorities and the CliPAD team, communities then choose and carry out activities such as forest patrols, raising native tree seedlings and restoring degraded forest areas.
Equal participation strengthens climate resilience and protects livelihoods.
