GIZ contributes to Climate-Smart Agriculture exchange in Luang Prabang.
GIZ, through the Climate Protection through Avoided Deforestation (CliPAD) project, co-organised a Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) workshop with Helvetas recently at the Provincial Agriculture and Environment Office in Luang Prabang, bringing together partners to exchange practical solutions for more climate resilient farming systems and strengthening collaboration between development projects, government partners, local communities and private sectors.
GIZ contributed by sharing technical inputs, participating in knowledge exchange sessions, and hosting a dedicated booth to showcase how sustainable agriculture, forest protection, and local livelihoods are closely linked in practice.
Co-financed by Germany and the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Climate Protection through Avoided Deforestation (CliPAD) programme contributes to Lao PDR’s Emission Reduction Programme and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), aiming to reduce 11.7 million tCO₂ equivalent while strengthening sustainable livelihoods at village level.

ອົງການ GIZ ຜ່ານ ໂຄງການ ການປົກປ້ອງກັນດິນຟ້າອາກາດ ໂດຍການຫຼີກລ້ຽງການທໍາລາຍປ່າໄມ້ (CliPAD) ໄດ້ຮ່ວມຈັດກອງປະຊຸມກະສິກຳທີ່ສອດຄ່ອງກັບສະພາບອາກາດ (Climate-Smart Agriculture: CSA) ກັບ ອົງການ Helvetas ທີ່ ພະແນກກະສິກໍາ ແລະ ສິ່ງແວດລ້ອມ ແຂວງຫຼວງພະບາງ ໂດຍໄດ້ນໍາເອົາພາກສ່ວນຕ່າງໆມາຮ່ວມແລກປ່ຽນວິທີແກ້ໄຂທີ່ນໍາໃຊ້ໄດ້ຈິງ ເພື່ອເສີມສ້າງລະບົບກະສິກໍາໃຫ້ຕອນສະຫນອງຕໍ່ກັບສະພາບອາກາດໄດ້ຢ່າງຢືນຍົງ ແລະ ເພີ່ມການຄວາມຮ່ວມມື ລະຫວ່າງ ໂຄງການພັດທະນາ, ພາກລັດ, ຊຸມຊົນ ແລະ ພາກເອກະຊົນອີກດ້ວຍ.
ອົງການ GIZ ກໍ່ຍັງໄດ້ຮ່ວມແບ່ງປັນຂໍ້ມູນດ້ານເທັກນິກ, ເຂົ້າຮ່ວມການແລກປ່ຽນຄວາມຮູ້ ແລະ ຈັດບູດງານສະແດງ ເພື່ອໃຫ້ເຫັນວ່າ ການກະສິກໍາຢ່າງຍືນຍົງ, ການປົກປ້ອງປ່າໄມ້ ແລະ ຊີວິດການເປັນຢູ່ຂອງຊຸມຊົນ ມີຄວາມເຊື່ອມໂຍງກັນໃນພາກປະຕິບັດແນວໃດ. ໂຄງການ ການປົກປ້ອງກັນດິນຟ້າອາກາດ ໂດຍການຫຼີກລ້ຽງການທໍາລາຍປ່າໄມ້ (CliPAD) ໄດ້ຮັບທຶນຮ່ວມຈາກ ລັດຖະບານເຢຍລະມັນ ແລະ ກອງທຶນດິນຟ້າອາກາດສີຂຽວ ເປັນໂຄງການມູນຄ່າ 62 ລ້ານເອີໂຣ ທີ່ຊ່ວຍສົ່ງເສີມ ໂຄງການຫຼຸດຜ່ອນການປ່ອຍກາຊເຮືອນແກ້ວ ແລະ ການປະກອບສ່ວນ ຕາມ ຄໍາມຸ່ງໝາຍ NDC ຂອງ ສປປ ລາວ ໂດຍມີເປົ້າໝາຍ ຫຼຸດຜ່ອນ 11.7 ລ້ານຕັນ CO₂ ພ້ອມທັງ ສົ່ງເສີມ ຊີວິດການເປັນຢູ່ ຢ່າງຍືນຍົງ ໃນລະດັບບ້ານ.
